'Fatherhood Meetings' is an initiative bringing together fathers of toddlers from different cultural backgrounds in Sweden.
These organised meetups provide an opportunity to build cultural bridges, challenge stereotypes about fatherhood, and, for newcomers, the chance to practice their Swedish – all the while engaging in various activities with their children.
The meetings are organised by 'Svenska med Baby' ('Swedish with Baby') – a non-profit organisation founded in 2012 by Karin Bruse and Elva Strandér. During their parental leaves, both Bruse and Strandér noticed a lack of gatherings for parents on leave from different cultural and social backgrounds.
