With the rise of trendy diets like keto, paleo, and carnivore has come wider adoption and recognition of the plant based diet. This scientifically backed, healthy diet is often confused with veganism, and in this video we go into how and why this happens. Is it ok for plant based people to call themselves vegan? Should vegans call themselves plant based? Is anyone even using the word correctly?
Using language accurately and meaningfully is important, and people using plant-based incorrectly might hurt the vegan movement by diluting the vegan message.
