The first of an occasional series of videos focusing on extended techniques or detailed aspects of playing on that I sometimes focus on in practice. This installment focuses on Pitch Bending, also referred to in some of the European literature as a Tone Glissando. I know that I babble a bit so please let me know if there is anything further I can clarify

If you try this out and get a cool effect, please make a video and reply in the comments - I'll make sure it gets through the spam filter!

Things I forgot to mention:
-Possible on Chromatic Button Accordion
-Sometimes referred to as a tone Glissando
-I did this without a script - I don't actually think that it's bad to do it with a coupled reed stop, especially violin (MM) or organ (LH) but it sounds differently on every reed stop, and almost never affects both sets of reeds.
-it can helpful to try this at first with the air release button pressed down when you're forcing the extra air. This can help you get comfortable with how much your instrument needs a key to be pushed down in order to get the right reaction, as once again every instrument is different in this regard.
- no, I haven't forgotten about pitch wheels/portamenti strips on electronic keyboards.
- yes I've heard of this hyper-piano/quarter-tone piano that is being experimentally produced. Boy would I love to have one! but I'm guessing that most of you, like myself, don't have hundreds of thousands of dollars to spend on instruments. (If I did, I'd probably just get a Steinway and a house big enough to hold one, let's be honest here.)
