In my recollection this song is barely used in the film, which makes it a delight that it stands alone so well. It's an exquisite form of melancholy, amplified by Scott Matthew's lead vocal (my introduction to him as a singer) and Tim Jensen's haunting, sometimes absurd lyrics. It's also a song that, in high school, I attempted to play at an open mic, with disastrous results.
