Another cover of a favorite Peter Hammill song, this one from the 2012 album Consequences. This is an increasingly relevant song that I interpret as addressing the ubiquity of the public record, especially in the internet age, and how anyone, especially public figures, can have their words taken out of context. Some lines suggest the ease in which people can miscommunicate on an interpersonal level. To that end, I've really tried not to botch the lyrics too badly!

This is my entry for the June Pixel Mixers Cover contest, in which entrants had to mash up two songs from two different series. So I figured Id pit two rival franchises against each other, taking classic early-stage tracks from Sonic The Hedgehog and Super Mario Bros 2 that I had been considering working on for some time. I had to take the swing out of the Overworld theme in order to make both tunes match up without the shift feeling too abrupt. Also, blue face paint is really hard to get off.")
