J.L. Williams was one of three Pine Bluff officers to encounter Jeremy Lawrence Jr., 23, on November 21, 2025, according to a February 2026 news release. Video released Friday, February 27, 2026, from Williams' body-worn camera shows his actions in what 11th West Judicial Circuit Prosecuting Attorney Kyle Hunter said was a justified fatal shooting.
