One of the most unique Monsters running Pikes Peak, it´s Codie Vahsholtz´s Ford Open V8, powered by a 404 cubic inch Ford V8 making about 880Hp and about 660ft lb of Torque at 7200 rpm, with a Red-Line set at 9000Rpm, all while running on methanol. Weighing around 1130Kg, with its engine positioned on the Front Axle and all this power transmitted to the Rear Wheels through a H pattern 4 speed GForce Gearbox.
Coming from a family with plenty of success on the Legendary Colorado Springs mountain, Codie went from motorbikes to the 4 Wheel Monsters and continues to fight for the very Top Spots, placing 4th overall on last year´s edition even while driving such a rudimentary, old-school machine in absolutely treacherous weather conditions as can be seen on the clip.
