Welcome back to the Make or Break Society, in this video we are going to do a manual install of RetroPie on the Raspberry pi 5 and make it play PS2 games using AetherSX2. This process will also work for any x64 bit Raspberry Pi but only the 4 and 5 can run AetherSX2.

To connect to your Pi 5 via ssh you will need:
On Windows: Install putty: putty.org
On Mac or Linux: Follow the instructions here: instructables.com/Connect-Raspberry-pi-to-MacOS-or-Linux-using-SSH
Install commands. Make sure to run them in order!
sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade
sudo apt install git lsb-release
cd
git clone --depth=1 github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup.git
cd RetroPie-Setup
chmod +x retropie_setup.sh
sudo ./retropie_setup.sh

Update
sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade
Open config
sudo nano /boot/firmware/config.txt
Put into config after [all]
#kernel selection
kernel=kernel8.img
Install Vulkan
sudo apt install mesa-vulkan-drivers mesa-utils vulkan-tools
Install RetroPie-Extras
cd ~
git clone github.com/Exarkuniv/RetroPie-Extra.git
cd RetroPie-Extra/
./install-extras.sh
RetroPie Setup
sudo sh ~/RetroPie-Setup/retropie_setup.sh
