On June 7, 2025, the Physical Sciences Division at the University of Chicago hosted a diploma ceremony to honor PhD degree candidates individually through the presentation of hoods and diplomas. The event also included remarks from Ka Yee C. Lee, Interim Dean of the Physical Sciences Division, and the presentation of the Faculty Award for Excellence in Graduate Teaching and Mentoring and The Arthur L Kelly Prize for Exceptional Faculty Service in the Physical Sciences.
