Battling harsh light to create the right kind of photograph is challenging enough, but what if you aren't even sure you're creating art that fits into your portfolio or helps expand your body of work? I take on midday sunlight and pre-sunset light and combine it with flash from a Godox/Flashpoint AD600 Pro with a fresnel adapter and the new Flashpoint R2 Pro mk II trigger with improved high speed sync (HSS) capabilities in two photography sessions to prove it can be done. Also I tackle the philosophical question by examining the wonderful toy camera based work of photographer Nancy Rexroth, whose IOWA was recently purchased by the Cincinnati Art Museum.
