Following a totally devastating freak fire (the likes of which i have never seen) at a butchers i help out at, i sadly lost all of my kit, my case of knives, an #SRP smock, aprons and several other important tools... There was one valuable piece of equipment in my knife case i wanted/needed to rescue from the burnt out remains, an antique, 1920, spear and Jackson chopper, gifted to me from my mentor, 20 years ago.
All i had to do was find it in the wreckage and then, if possible, totally refurbish it, providing it was doable, question is, had it even survived the fierce heat?. This is the story of how it turned out.
