The trusty old Philips PM3310 digital storage scope puffed a cloud of smoke and obviously stopped working after that. Since my other storage scope (a Tektronix 464, repair to come soon) also developed a fault, i decided to fix it now as i needed a working storage scope for a job which came in recently.
Another reason is the upcoming house move, still no idea where we going as it's not exactly easy to find a suitable property... but i need to clear out my unfinished project shelf.
At first sight, the damage looked really bad, but after cleaning the mess it turned out to be a rather simple fix.
