Colorado families are paying some of the highest child care costs in the country, often rivaling rent or mortgage payments. Women, especially single mothers and women of color, are disproportionately impacted when child care is unaffordable or unavailable.
Democratic candidate for governor Phil Weiser said, if elected, he intends to have a child care solutions fund to “address this critical need.”
