I'm not all about speed; sometimes I'm about stupidity.
Here's how the strat works: Natural Dancer often casts "Sexy Dance", which has a high chance of charming your entire party. When the party is charmed, they attack each other, heal the boss, and generally just ruin the battle. However, when someone is poisoned, the status effect is permanent until manually removed and a charm cannot override it. Weird healing items like muscle drinks can randomly give bad status effects when used, and the boss's physical shield can randomly poison someone who hits it. My MC also has a Persona on that nullifies all wind spells. Once both members are poisoned, Yukari gets in a loop of healing every turn and the only things to worry about are the boss's pierce attack (addressed with attack mirrors) and hama spell (an instadeath spell, and honestly this is just luck, but I did have one item to cancel out a hama in an emergency).
Kryal jokingly mentioned trying something similar to this and then I decided to be dumb and make it work. This boss fight actually took about 22 minutes, but I cut it down because it would be super boring to watch the same loop over and over again for an additional 15 minutes.

WATCH THE NEW RECORD: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQzTQ-5rNbs
As far as I know, this is the first console speed run of SotN to be completed in under 20 minutes. This isnt a very good run and is definitely far from being submittable to SDA, but I figured since it was perhaps a bit of a milestone for speed running the game that it might be nice to upload.
This is the world record as of 2/20/2012, but this time will probably be crushed very soon so whatever. If you want to see me do live attempts of this run, follow http://twitch.tv/romscout and check the schedule for when Im doing runs of the game. I missed a skip entirely and messed up a lot, but hopefully you still enjoy this run! Expect a better one soon.
