Can journalism save itself by turning into art? You bet. About seven years ago, a fresh genre burst onto the Latin American journalism scene: Performative Journalism. It's all about deep, rigorous long-form investigations done by teams of journalists and artists from all sorts of fields, but instead of wrapping up with just text they end in live stage performances. In this workshop, Cristian Alarcón will present the method and tools to kick off creative processes that stretch journalism further and connect it directly—and much more deeply—with live audiences.
