Located within Ponce de Leon Park in Punta Gorda, Florida, the Peace River Wildlife Center is home to more than 2,000 animals that are currently undergoing rehabilitation from injuries, or have been rehabilitated but are incapable of being reintroduced into the wild. Unlike other wildlife operations of this nature, the Peace River Wildlife Center is open to the public. Admission is free, and tours are provided by volunteers from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., every day of the week.
