Meg making an angsty edit about a male character? Must be Tuesday

Listen folks. Just expect random canon videos to be on my agenda for a while. I’m a busy girl and I edit what inspires me, even if the idea is the last thing I expected lol. ANYWHO so tiny backstory. I first watched this show back in 2019 a few months before season 4 was slated to come out. But I got busy and one thing led to another and whaddya know it’s four years later (as in like exactly four years, idk what made me decide to watch this series in march BOTH times) and I still hadn’t watched the final 3 seasons that came out on Netflix. I randomly felt like picking it back up again and….well let’s just say I might’ve stayed up pulled two all-nighters binging this show. Bad. Very bad. This is what happens when anxiety strikes.

I actually did a little bit of a fun flip here! Back in 2019 I had originally wanted to make an edit dedicated to just the title character, but then changed my mind to a Deckerstar edit. As I was watching I had originally wanted to do a Deckerstar edit, but then remembered this song and went “nope never mind angsty Lucifer edit it is”. OOOOOO I’ve been wanting to use this song for AGES now! Ever since I first heard it in Stacy’s Vox Machina video, I’ve been trying to find a good video idea for it. But I couldn't figure it out. I think I had an idea for it at some point but it wasn’t really clicking for me? But the whole arc Lucifer goes through in season 4, it was just too perfect! I’m kinda thankful that I waited to watch the show when I did then because I don’t think I would’ve found a better use for this song! And it’s always fun getting to experiment with voice overs and sound effects, glad I can find more reasons to do that.

I kinda miss shows like this. That are super fun and ridiculous and cheesy, but also heartfelt and full of poignant character writing. It feels like a shame that the DC CW shows, which I felt were so good at this for a while, stopped being that once they went on for too long. It was great to see this show make an amazing comeback the moment it got onto Netflix, as I was genuinely surprised in just how amazing seasons 4 and 5 were (and season 6 to an extent). To those who like stuff like the earlier seasons of Supernatural or the DC CW shows, I highly recommend this. It takes the best part of those shows and elevates itself to this in depth look on growth and second chances. So yeah, that’s it. Angsty edit for a cool show. Enjoy!
