In this video, I talk about my new stereo preamplifier, the Parasound Zpre3, which I bought to replace the preamp front-end of my 35+ year old Rotel RA-9808X integrated stereo amplifier. While this is a seemingly expensive product, it was still less expensive than buying a new integrated amp with sufficient power to drive my large Magnepan speakers in my home theater.

I discuss my reasons for selecting this model, I talk about its features, and show external and internal views.

Finally, I include a woodworking project, designing and building a 'riser' to hold the new preamp up above the warm top of the power amplifier, while still providing lots of convection/air-circulation ventilation between power amp and preamp.
