Description: My third visit to the Falkland Islands falls on the 30th anniversary year of the short-yet-never-forgotten Falklands War of 1982. A tiny windswept archipelago in the South Atlantic, I am always struck by the austerity and remoteness of this forlorn corner of the globe. These were my thoughts as I stopped here on my way from Cape to Cape.
