Description: Driving Albertas Cowboy Trail, I stopped for lunch at Marvs Classic Soda Shop, a great little 50s diner in Black Diamond, Alberta. Owner Marvin Garriott was shocked to hear Id never tasted an ice cream soda before, so he introduced me to the classic 50s ice cream treat, then serenaded me with an Elvis classic.
