The Last Adventurer | Paiva Walkways - unique elevated hiking over a wooden walkway in Portugal! @TheLastAdventurer | Uploaded October 2019 | Updated October 2024, 8 hours ago.
While Portugal has many great hiking trails, the most unique trail is the Paiva Walkway, an eight kilometer one way route that ascends and descends wooden steps, suspension bridges, and travels along the bank of the Paiva River. Hikers can start the route at either of the two ends, Espiunca or Areinho. Along the way, there is plenty of amazing scenery, including but not limited to waterfalls, and riverfront beaches. This is a great stop for outdoors enthusiasts, or visitors to the Porto region.
