Angela Fehr Watercolour | Painting Flowers with Watercolor Part 2 : Defining Shapes @angelfehr | Uploaded July 2018 | Updated October 2024, 3 minutes ago.
After a first layer flows onto the page, it can be a fearful thing to try to develop the next step, defining shapes to see a theme come to life. Take your time, and focus on the overall flow of the painting. I always find it works better to find a place between telling the painting what to do, and letting it show you what it needs. Be willing to depart completely from your original plan if you see a better way to go.
