We have here an oldie but a goldie, Painkiller Black Edition. It includes the base game and the Battle Out of Hell Expansion, full of dark 2000s edginess with a soundtrack that's become a new favourite among many others. It has it's issues and some annoyances, but it's a simple, challenging and fun shooter that's a part of my most nostalgic era of gaming, the early 2000's. Playing this has made me excited for the new Painkiller game, and I can only hope that it delivers, because Painkiller deserves another chance.
