Well Darksiders 1 is here, and It's a pretty solid title. It's a game that was probably a lot better back then it is now, and is really only worth getting into if you're looking for older hack and slash games before the era of Soulslikes. In saying that, I had a good time, and I enjoyed it enough to buy the rest of the franchise to see how the others hold up. I've heard the second game is a lot better and it's more loot based like Diablo or Borderlands, so that'll be interesting. Either way, I'm glad I gave the first game a spin. I may revisit it again, but not anytime soon. It's a good starting point for people that are new to these type of games, but doesn't really offer much for seasoned players.
Notes:
- Platforming is ok at first, but gets better once you have all the equipment.
- Near the end of the game, you have to do a very annoying but easy task which collecting throughout
all the main areas you visit. It's a good opportunity then to collect everything before you reach the final boss. But by that point I just wanted to move on.
- Would recommend the hardest available difficulty if you're pretty seasoned in hack and slash games.
- Didn't have anything to say about the music because I never took much notice of it in the first place. It was more in the background than anything.
- Didn't wanna get force choked by Mark Hamil. That's why I didn't use his voice in the video.
