Padua (Padova) is a large town in the Veneto region in north-eastern Italy. Padua is home to an ancient university, and parts of the town centre have a very studenty feel to them. Visiting Padua will put you in contact with the highest virtues of Veneto and some of the best art masterpieces of all times. Padua is truly a living monument to all the epochs it has lived through, a casket which holds some of the most precious artistic gems from the last 2000 years.
