After the defeat of Spooky, Pac-Land ushers in a new era of peace with the Golden Fruits now attached to a brand-new Golden Fruit Tree in the center of the Pac-Village. One day, Pac-Man's kids, Pac-Boy and Pac-Sis are having a good time hanging around, when a mysterious smoke appears...! This appears to be wafting from a dubious portal that appeared within the tree! The kids go to investigate, but when they get closer, they are sucked in! Later, Professor Pac expresses his gratitude towards Pac-Man for restoring Pac-Land to peace. Pac-Man, however, brings up his kids, saying that he can't find them anywhere. Then, Pac-Ranger arrives with Pac-Mom, saying that the kids have vanished without a trace! This leads Pac-Man to investigate, finding Pac-Boy's cap near the Golden Fruit Tree. Not long after this is found, the portal in the tree opens up, which prompts Pac-Man to investigate. He, too, is sucked into the portal upon closer inspection, and at the other side, he finds dark skies covering the Pac-Village, and a Pac-Wizard working on some kind of magic involving a batch of fruit... Much like that of the story that Professor Pac had told of times long ago, which told of Spooky! With no other options, Pac-Man is left to investigate this world and find his lost kids. Will he succeed?
