Two measles-associated deaths were reported in Pennsylvania, marking the first measles-related deaths in Pennsylvania in 35 years, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH).
In a news release, the DOH confirmed both individuals who passed were unvaccinated.
The best protection against measles is getting fully vaccinated, which is administered through two doses, providing 97% protection, the DOH said in a release.
