Here is the raw video I used in my recent video "Does More Zoom Cause Ships to Come Up Over Horizon? Flat Earth". It was filmed with a Nikon P1000 from Omanu Beach car park on Feb 28th 2019.
The closest ship is the Glorious Mahuta, distance = 8.86 miles. The "submerged" ship on the left is the Princess Paula, distance = 12.6 miles. My camera was at an estimated height of 30 ft above sea level.
