Net migration to the UK has fallen sharply - down to 171,000 in 2025, from around 900,000 three years ago.
New data from the ONS and Home Office also shows:
- Asylum claims down 12%
- Fewer asylum seekers in hotels
- Record citizenship applications
- Almost 1 in 5 people in the UK are now foreign-born
