I don't know if Tunnel Camp in The The Seven Troughs range in central nevada, near Lovelock is the best ghost town in Nevada, but it's certainly the coolest one I've ever been to.
In this video we travel to Tunnel Camp where we stay for 2 nights and then explore the scenic dirt roads from there to Mazuma and Seven Troughs and then take the high route around to Vernon with stunning views of Star Peak and the Humboldt Range.
The Seven Troughs Mining district is rich with old mines, 100 year old artifacts and rugged dirt roads leading every which way. Along the way you'll encounter bottomless pits guarded by barbed wire fencing, ramshackle structures, and wild burrow braying into the wind.
