I know this is pretty off topic for this channel, but I was searching for this the other day and had to ask in a forum to find the solution.

If you want to move a Final Cut Pro event from one library to another you just select the event, go to the file menu and select move event to library. And it’ll move the event and all it’s files and projects completely.
But what if you select an event and the option to move event to library is greyed out?
This is because there has to be at least one event in a library. If you are trying to move the only event in that library, the option is greyed out. To get past this, just add a new library.
Then you can select the library you want to move, select Move event to library. And you’re done.
OK, that’s it.

I get asked fairly often what I use to edit these videos, and I mostly use Final Cut Pro X here on my iMac Pro. I do like Final Cut’s media management via the events and libraries and rely on that system to keep all our shoots and projects organized and stored long term.
