I paid a visit to Laaaaahndaaaan earlier in the week, specifically to engage in a bit of retail therapy (there was a Robosen Transformers pop up event at Harrods I wanted to see) and to check out a couple of arcades whilst I was up there.
One of these was the arcade bar Four Quarters Elephant and Castle specifically because I'd heard they had one of these bad boys there! An Outrun Deluxe moving mechanical cabinet. I haven't played on one of these since the late 1980's. I haven't so much as even played on an Outrun stand-up cabinet in gawd knows how long, so this was a real treat to play! And, oh man, this was so much fun!
There was also an Outrun 2 SP twin cabinet right next to it, which was sadly out of action (although it was actually receiving a bit of TLC whilst I was there, so hopefully they'll get it back up and running again soon). Fortunately though, I've actually quite recently(ish) encountered a 4 player Outrun 2 SP setup in my home city:

So of all the things to not be working, I'm glad it wasn't the OG Outrun Deluxe cabinet.
