Here, I try to minimize the amount of times I need to switch to Luigi by using Thudley Jumps. I also don't switch to Thudley in the chase sequence as keeping Slim out is ideal, even though it may cost a few jumps.

3 Keys, 20 Questions, 2 Passcodes, and a Pixl Skip

3-4 is a nightmare for the 2BC purely from all the questions and passcodes in the level. In total, there are normally 34 2 presses required to finish this chapter just from the keys, passcodes, and question prompts. We skip three of these by performing Carrie skip. Routing-wise, Carrie skip saves several 2 presses as we dont need to keep switching between Thudley and Carrie, but the cost is 8x 2 presses to traverse the spike pit using TJs. However, after considering all options, Carrie skip is still the optimal route.
Outside of the Pixl skip, there arent any more notable tricks in this chapter other than the countless times we abuse Thudley Jumps.
This video features a pixl skip (Carrie in this case). Carrie is one of 5 pixls that are skippable in Super Paper Mario. This is because if we manage to beat the intended chapter without gaining the pixl, the game gives the pixl to you after the chapter is over in a short dialogue sequence.

Opening chests from the wrong dimension

This video is an improvement from my last video on Chapter 4-4 where I completed the chapter in 13x 2 Presses. You can find the video here: https://youtu.be/DcDjzOtoTxg
Since then, the SPM community found a glitch where you can open chests in midair using 3D damage. Here, I use this glitch to collect the key in the second chest without having to climb up a staircase. This glitch requires Mario to jump, so one 2 press is still required. This trick saves 2x 2 presses overall.
Outside this new glitch, the rest of the chapter involves clever uses of Thudley, like using Tileoids to gain height or flip inside of gravity blocks to press them.
Lastly, I should mention the boss fight of this chapter, Brobot. Because the Brobot boss fight is supposed to be a side-scrolling shooter section, we cant easily damage Brobot as we cannot shoot (reminder that shooting requires the 2 button). Instead, we damage Brobot through ground pounding. This is incredibly slow as we need a barrier candy to prevent taking damage ourselves. The second room in 1-4 now can be completed in 0x 2 presses by using two damage boosts, one from the fire bar in the middle of the room and another from a spawned megabite. However, this change in route adds an extra 2 press to get the Life Shroom which is shown during the setup of this video. This is why the count for this chapter went up from 19x to 20x.
Once again, this chapter is very short if you know the solution to the chapter. Here, we can skip the entirety of the chapter by pre-emptively knowing the password to the 1 million ruby vault. One thing to note is that we cannot just grind the ruby rooms for 1 million rubies to pay off the debt. This is because theres a cap of 18000 rubies for each run-through of the VIP room. Each time, we need to press 2 to initiate a run-through, which easily negates any 2 press saves by beating the chapter this way.

4-4 is a straightforward chapter with several uses of Thudley Jumping to get around, but not in ways you might expect. Outside of what weve seen before, there are two cases during this chapter where we use Thudley unexpectedly.
The first is when I need to backtrack after getting the second key. I can only leave the room when the gravity is normal, so I have to find a way to ascend to the higher floor without jumping. Doing a grounded Thudley jump doesnt bring Mario high enough so it seems impossible. However, Mario can bounce off of the Tileoids from any side, regardless of whether they are on the ceiling. So I flip in midair using Thudley to clip into the ceiling and bounce off of a Tileoid to make it the rest of the way up to the door.
The second case is when I need to flip gravity using a gravity block. Normally, Mario cannot activate a gravity block using a grounded Thudley jump. However, if we do a grounded Thudley Jump in 3D then flip back to 2D while we are inside the block, we can activate it by falling through the block. This cannot be done in the room after selecting the second key as the gravity blocks are too high off the ground.
Lastly, I should mention the boss fight of this chapter, Brobot. Because the Brobot boss fight is supposed to be a side-scrolling shooter section, we cant easily damage Brobot as we cannot shoot (reminder that shooting requires the 2 button). Instead, we damage Brobot through ground pounding. This is incredibly slow as we need a barrier candy to prevent taking damage ourselves.
