![eBay K40 CO2 Laser - Can Your Laser Kill You? Shocking Evidence!
In this episode, we will be sharing and explosive experience I had with my eBay / k40 CO2 laser! As I was aligning the mirrors, the the tube for some reason shorted out failing to laser and dumping over 20,000 to ground! Keep in mind that I an my face was less then 2 feet away and thankfully I was wear protective eyewear as the video really fails to capture power of the true power of the flash and arch!
This is why it is critically important to have a solid earthen ground as as well as high quality laser safety glasses as this is a high intensity electrical flash which can cause sever burns!

![eBay K40 CO2 Laser - Simple Fix For a Common Problem!
In this episode, we will be talking about one of the biggest questions my viewership ask me about the eBay K40 CO2 40 Watt Laser (see more here: http://diy3dtech.com/purchase-laser/ ) ! As it typically starts off something like this:
My CO2 Laser powers up and move when I run a job, however the laser tube does not fire, what could the problem be?
Well the key is the laser tube not firing, as even though the CO2 is a consumable in that over time and use the CO2 gas will break down and the performance of the tube will degrade, the tube still fires. The other thing is since still is moving, the power supply is likely still good as while it is possible for the high voltage section to fail, that is rather rare pre-say without the entire power supply failing.
With all of the this being said, the eBay K40 CO2 40watt laser is actually a rather simple device so what is left? Well that is what we cover in this video as not only will we cover how this works, however also test it also!

![Ortur Laser - Recipe For Cutting Corrugated Cardboard (Part 1)!
In this episode, we will be testing recipes for cutting 4.1mm corrugated cardboard which is notoriously hard to cut without burning or starting on fire. Many shipping form places like Amazon use this size of box and I am interested in creating up-cycling opportunities for the many boxes which show up on my doorsteps!
Update: Since filming this video, I have come to discover more in my journey to effectively cut corrugated cardboard and that is the thickness of the component material itself. For this test piece it was rather thick. As the top and bottom layers measured 0.3mm (each along with corrugation) so together they made up up 0.9mm of the 4.1mm total. When using this recipe on another 4mm piece of corrugated cardboard I found it to be way over-kill. In measuring the top & bottom I found that they where a mere 0.1mm or 0.3mm (top/bottom and corrugation) of the total 4mm thickness. Here we could step down to 20 passes from 40 (a 50 percent reduction) on a ~60% decrease in thickness. Here a clear mathematics relationship emerges and we will be doing a follow up video (Part 2).
