First of all - huge thank you to Matt F. on Patreon for asking me to use his bi-monthly request to produce an original instead!!

My dream is still to be able to produce more originals than covers, but we're not quite there yet. Nothing compares to putting your whole self into something and still being able to find people to connect with.

Things have been pretty bumpy for me health wise, mental and physical. I talked about that in the description for 'Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall'. I was getting better for a bit but I've been back in this dark place, sort of wondering what the point is.

I've been depressed. I've been anxious. I've been sick. I wake up every morning in panic, and my days are filled with existential dread and wondering whether or not I'm ready to 'give up' and call it quits. I keep wondering if the struggle is worth it and asking myself what makes it feel worth it? What do I live for?

I always come back around to music. Creating and connecting with others gives my life meaning where I feel there is none. It makes me want to be better, not give up, find the way out of this.

I want to find hope so I can offer to those who know what it feels like to fight like hell and not know if it'll be worth it. I feel like I've been given an opportunity not everyone is given, and I have a responsibility and desire to help as many people along the way as possible.

So while on the one hand I'm a mess, falling apart and holding off the impulse to end it all - there's another side that's fighting like hell.

This song is about that back and forth.

For now, I'll keep making music and moving forward - regardless of how exhausting life can be or 'how far I wanna go'.

But you'll find there's no real resolution. It's all just distorting the frame.

On another note, I produced the track to sound 'fun' despite some of the lyrics to represent the kind of 'upbeat' go-go-go energy it requires to keep up with everything.

In the video, people and comments spring up to represent the support I've gotten along the way and the people cheering me on - as well as the occasional passing through of the more 'critical' user. They represent things that keep me going and things that make it difficult sometimes.

SynK and I went through to hand pick frequent random comments I get. I wanted to pick from some of the more ~ random ~ impersonal ones I get, as they come up more often - even if I pour my heart out. The core of what I'm trying to convey seems lost on or irrelevant to commentators more often than not, so that's portrayed here.

Another original song I have in production will feature specific comments left by you guys (with your consent), but I'll post about that later in the community tab.
