Orbital Gas, Orbital EMS, and Orbital Smoke are deployed from a Helldiver's Super Destroyer via a Shell that has 50 demolition force. This is useful for quickly destroying many side objectives, like the detector tower and stratagem jammer on automatons, as well as Spore Spewers and Shrieker Nests, bug nests and bile titan holes on Terminids. Rogue Research Stations also will be destroyed.
Landed Illuminate Warp ships, Automaton Fabricators and bulk fabricators are also susceptible.
However, you must throw your stratagem ball to receive a direct hit from the orbital.
Technically, the laser and other barrages also have 50 demolition force, and will also destroy these side objectives if struck. But they are somewhat well known.

The Orbital Airburst and Gatling Barrage are both useful and have low cooldowns. Use these stratagems to fill gaps in your loadout and destroy enemies at chokepoints.
The gatling barrage is lower cooldown and higher armor penetration, but the damage is not consistent across the AoE. The Airburst has a much more consistent dispersal of ordnance, but has a lower armor penetration, making it better at clearing smaller enemies, but still able to damage exposed weak points.
The Gatling barrages length makes it work well against bug breaches, while the Airbursts spike damage works against the relatively more compressed deployment from a bot drop. EDIT - and likely Illuminate once the Warp Ship leaves!
