This is a newly arrived litter of orphaned baby opossums whose mother was killed by a car. At around two months old, they are too young to survive for long outside their mother's pouch and are making distress calls as they search for something warm and furry. Once they are fed and put on a nice warm heating pad, they calm down quickly. This litter is doing great, and will be released when they are older.
