The Last Adventurer | Ooh Ahh Point - spectacular views of the Grand Canyon! @TheLastAdventurer | Uploaded October 2020 | Updated October 2024, 3 hours ago.
While the Grand Canyon is known for, and has nothing but views, the best views are found from the various points one can hike to in the canyon. While many of the trails are difficult and daunting, there are great introductory hikes, such as Ooh Ahh Point. Starting at the South Kaibab trailhead, the route follows the South Kaibab trail down 600 feet and .9 miles to Ooh Ahh Point that has expansive views to fit all hiking levels. However, like any trip into the canyon, hikers should remember what goes down - must always come back up. This is a great introduction to high desert and Grand Canyon hiking.
