After travelling and living on the remote island of Borneo, Sabah in Malaysia, I believe this is the one place that you must visit in the world.
Sabah has a lot of things to offer, from hiking and climbing mountains in Kota Kinabalu to discovering the virgin rainforests, seeing orangutans and proboscis monkeys in Sepilok to world class diving in Sipadan, Mabul and the Semporna Archipelago. People from Sabah are also very kind and friendly, which makes it the most perfect travel destination I believe everyone must visit at least once in their life.
Traveling as a solo female in Borneo means that I can focus on exploring Malaysia, and getting to know the Malay people and Malaysian culture. I also try the delicious Malaysian food. This is a guide about how to have a perfect day in Sabah that shows you why this is one of the places you absolutely must see in the world. The next destination is the Kinabatangan River.
