In this episode I will show you how my friends backpackers and I visited the most popular places in Phuket: Promthep Cape view point, Airport Beach (Mai Khao Beach), Nai Harn Beach and Monkey Hill.
Mai Khao Beach also known as the airport beach, is the beach by the Phuket airport where planes take off and land very close to the ground. This place is Instagram and TikTok famous, as due to optical illusion you can make it look like you are touching an airplane while itโs landing.
Nai Harn Beach is a hippy neighbourhood in Thailand, often chosen by expats and digital nomads as their favourite place to live. It is based at the south of Phuket. Yachts and sailboats also like to anchor here. Iโve met some expats here who loved this place, however as mentioned in the video I prefer Rawai, Freedom Beach and Paradise Beach.
Monkey Hill is a place where you can interact with macaque monkeys. Although there are signs not to feed the monkeys, you will find many food stands there where you can buy bananas for the monkeys. The place in free to enter and offers a beautiful nature track and hike to the panoramic viewpoints on Phuket. This is my personal best free attraction in Phuket.
Promthep Cape is one of the famous viewpoints in Phuket, based in Rawai. If you are after a place with beautiful views and perfect Instagram spot, look no further.
