Part 1 of 2: Memorial video produced to celebrate the life of Michael Spears. Video was shown at a "celebration of life" event in Dallas, TX on the day of Michael's funeral in 2005. The video contains an audio montage of his work in radio at stations including KLIF/Dallas, CKLW/Windsor-Detroit, KGB/San Diego, WYSL/Buffalo, KNUS/Dallas, KFRC/San Francisco, WPLP/Tampa, KKDA/Dallas, KRLD/Dallas (and I may be forgetting one or two others). Pictures and video clips were provided by various friends and family members. Radio professionals from all around the country attended Michael's funeral in Dallas, where I had the honor of speaking (at Michael's request prior to his passing). Then, later that same night, most of his closest friends and colleagues attended a celebration of life event in Addison, TX, where this video was shown, and pretty much everybody else got up and told their "Michael stories." For anyone who knew Michael, and even those who didn't, this video is a trip down memory lane for anyone who grew up listening to top 40 radio on AM in the 1960s.
