People in some markets will remember hearing this song played on the radio while others won't. It was the flip side* of The Buckingham's hit single, "Mercy, Mercy, Mercy," and some top 40 radio stations played it, while others didn't. Where I grew up, in Kansas City, the big top 40 station at the time, 710/WHB, did play it, and it was always one of my favorite Buckinghams songs. Sadly, it has long ago been forgotten by Oldies radio. Probably because the people working there weren't fortunate enough to have grown up in a market where it got played. (Or else they weren't born yet.) * You remember "flip sides," right? Back when hit "singles" were released on 45 RPM vinyl records with the big hole in the middle, the "flip side" was the B side of the record -- the side that sometimes got played but usually didn't.
