They make hard things look easy.

They make those blistering paces look effortless.

You’ll even see this in other areas, like watching Simone Biles in gymnastics.

So a more accurate saying would be…

Skilled people make hard things look easy.

One lesson is that people tend to focus on the numbers, like how many miles you ran or the pace you ran.

However, skill comes from intentional practice and refinement.

Appreciate the quality of your runs, like how you ran and how you felt as you ran.

This is an overlooked aspect of becoming a better runner.

Just remember that there is a time a practice technique and time to race.

What you prioritize during those scenarios will be different.
