This is a series of outtakes from the 'March of Time' Newsreel, presented in as-shot order. No sound, so I've added some contemporary music.
0:00 I believe that the opening shots were taken at Whitehall Ferry Terminal, based on its proximity to an Elevated line.
At 1:41 , a couple of student-looking types notice the camera. Almost everybody else pays no attention.
1:56 People exiting the BMT, likely at the Manhattan end of the Brooklyn Bridge.
2:07 A traffic cop helps pedestrians cross the street. Nobody catches a heel in the trolley tracks.
2:30 Another unknown location, this time an entrance to the IRT subway.
2:43 A sidewalk fruit seller. Three cents!
2:52 Looking north at the intersection of Broadway and Wall Street. Trinity Church is on the left.
3:11 Traffic cop guiding traffic off the Miller Highway (which originally ended at Canal Street) towards the Holland Tunnel.
3:42 There are several more minute of traffic at Canal Street after the credits.
4:50 The large car making a left onto Canal Street is a Rolls-Royce.
