The weekend of May 7 and 8, 2016, N&W 4-8-4 No. 611 ran four excursions out of Roanoke: morning trips to Lynchburg and afternoon trips to Walton (Radford).
I had traveled to Roanoke in 1983 and again in 1993 to see 611 run, and I was eager to see her again. She did not disappoint.
