The 2025 Special Guest at Simola Hillclimb was arguably the best RallyCross driver ever in History, Johann Kristoffersson, the 8 time World Rally Champion. And his weapon of choice was quite unusual, as they brought the EV powered VW Polo RX1e (which ended up being the car he used to win the 2025 WRC Championship too!!), a dual motor 680Hp machine capable of accelerating from 0-100Km/h in 1,8 Seconds built by Volkswagen Motorsport and capable of displaying tremendous pace in a not ideal environment compared to what it was built for.
But the best part was seeing Mr. Kristoffersson really taking this machine to the very Limit every run, with a softer set-up from Rallycross, it was possible to see some very heavy slide at well over 150km/h during that weekend and even then it would go on the be the 3rd Fastest machine in an event as competitive and stacked as Simola HillClimb.
