For years, I’ve documented what I call the Copy & Clone Generation—a culture where imitation, familiar formulas, algorithms and trends increasingly became normalized.
Now I believe we may be witnessing the aftermath.
THE UNINSPIRING ERA

The Uninspiring Era describes a historical period that emerges after prolonged cultural imitation, where creators increasingly promote products, trends and familiar formulas instead of producing original work that genuinely inspires others.
The Copy & Clone Generation describes the rise of imitation.
The Uninspiring Era describes what can happen afterward.
In this video, I explain why I believe 2027 could represent the beginning of this next period and why I’m documenting the idea now in 2026.
This isn't simply about whether music is good or bad. It's about INSPIRATION.
Where are the records that make another producer think, “I have to get better”?
Where are the artists and producers creating sounds, records, genres and movements that challenge the next person to develop something ORIGINAL?
To me, inspiration doesn't mean copying.
Inspiration means:
I can push myself further.
I can find my own lane.
I can create my own story.
I can develop my own sound.
I can become better.
When everybody sees the same successful formula and reproduces it, imitation can eventually become the culture.
And when imitation becomes normal long enough, we risk entering a period where everything exists—but increasingly less of it INSPIRES.
