Getting a placement doesn’t automatically make someone’s opinion correct.
Producers get placements every day, B.
In this video, I break down something I keep seeing in music-production conversations: instead of debating the actual IDEA, people sometimes introduce placements, major labels, famous artists, money, credentials or industry connections as if status automatically proves their argument.
It doesn't.
A placement can be a legitimate accomplishment.
But the real conversation still has to be about the subject:
What are the facts?
How does the technology work?
What does the equipment actually do?
What are the advantages and disadvantages?
What workflow makes sense for YOU?
What produces the results you're looking for?
In this particular discussion, I talk about modern MPCs, computers, dedicated music-production hardware, software-driven workflows, MIDI controllers, FL Studio and why personal preference should be separated from technical arguments.
If you prefer an MPC because you enjoy the workflow, that's your preference.
If you prefer FL Studio, that's your preference.
If you prefer hardware, that's your preference.
But preference and credentials don't automatically settle a factual argument.
That's my larger point.
I don't judge an idea by how famous somebody is, what label they've worked with, how much money they've made or what placement they have.
I want to know whether the ARGUMENT makes sense.
Think independently.
Research the technology.
Understand your tools.
Question the argument.
Then make your own decision.

A placement can tell us something about someone's career.
