Oeksound Soothe3 rebuilds the dynamic resonance suppressor from the algorithm up. New Soft mode, zero-latency tracking, a single Detail knob. Here is what actually changed and whether the upgrade earns its place.

We put Soothe3 through real-world tests to see how the new version handles muddiness, harshness, and boominess compared to the Soothe2 that most of us already run. The headline change is the rebuilt algorithm and the updated Soft mode, which uses an adaptive threshold for more transparent suppression, while Hard mode keeps the fixed-threshold behaviour

Soothe2 users know. The new low-latency mode adds zero samples at base sample rates and around 1 ms at higher sample rates, finally opening Soothe to tracking and live work. On the workflow side, Sharpness and Selectivity are combined into a single Detail parameter, node editing is more flexible with eight band shapes, and the side panel now hides for faster broad-brush moves. There is frequency-dependent control over Detail, Attack and Release, a Max Cut range control, and multichannel support up to 9.1.6 for immersive sessions.

The question this video answers is the one every Soothe2 owner is asking. Is Soothe3 a genuine step forward or a paid refresh you can skip? Watch the new features on real material before you decide.
