It's finally real, here's my Guitar Medley of Octopath Traveler! A couple of friends of mine love this game a lot and after them talking about it for so long, I finally gave it a shot myself around a year ago iirc and now I finally understand why. It's very much a game in the style of old school RPGs like Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger but with better graphics and sound production obviously. The music is phenomenal stuff and it reminds me a lot of said Chrono Trigger sometimes but also Queen with some of the intros to the songs which is obviously a good thing! While I was playing, I noticed that I liked a lot of the songs and I went for some of the town themes for this medley because I spent the most time in them and so those songs are the most memorable to me. Grandport is my favorite track in the game simply because of the intensity of the track and one of the parts kind of reminds me of the Pirates of the Caribbean main theme haha! Flamesgrace is my favorite when it comes to prettiness, it is just awesome and so pleasant to my ears and it reminds me a bit of Undertale for some reason! I started off with Atlasdam because I picked Cyrus as my starter character so I thought that would fit to open the medley with. A Settlement in the Red Bluffs was super tough and it took me at least 30-40 min to get right but I'm happy I was able to get it in the end! Transcribing all these songs was quite the process again because there are so many layers to each song and I'm the type that wants to get at least almost everything in there so yeah, it took me a lot of time to do that and to get this medley together but I'm happy that I did it and it's finally real!
